R3 Commercial was pleased to be in attendance this week at the MEL Energy Centre, supporting the Heat Network Suite as a proud sponsor of the event. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to see the MEL Heat Network, delivered through the collaboration between Vattenfall Heat UK and Midlothian Energy Ltd, and to better understand how the scheme is helping to shape the future of low-carbon heat delivery in the region.
Our team is increasingly focused on the role heat networks will play in the UK’s journey to net zero, and it was encouraging to be part of discussions with industry peers, clients, and delivery partners who are actively driving this transition forward. At R3 Commercial, we are particularly enthusiastic about the practical application of these systems and what they mean for our clients across the region. As schemes like MEL continue to develop, ensuring our engineers receive the appropriate training and upskilling is a key priority for us. This will allow us to confidently support the installation, maintenance, and long-term performance of heat network infrastructure as it becomes more widely adopted.
We look forward to continuing our involvement in the sector, building relationships, and supporting the delivery of resilient, low-carbon heating solutions.
